How can i help?

Research is expensive. Really expensive.

As a current biology researcher, Nate has seen firsthand how quickly costs add up. A single antibody can cost hundreds of dollars. Specialized lab equipment can cost thousands. Some experiments take weeks or months to complete, only to need repeated again and again in the pursuit of reliable answers. Scientific progress is rarely glamorous, but it is built one experiment at a time.

Most researchers rely heavily on grants from governments, universities, foundations, and private donors. Even for more widely recognized diseases, securing funding can be highly competitive and painfully slow. Rare diseases like Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease are often even more underfunded, despite affecting millions of people worldwide.

That’s where you come in, and there are many ways to support the mission of Versus CMT:

Donating

Yes — donations genuinely matter. A donation is an investment in eventually improving the lives of other human beings, such as a child never having to sleep with leg braces again or being able to ride bikes with their friends.

Versus CMT is currently in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, but donations are still deeply appreciated. Whether large or small, every contribution helps move the fight forward.

Donations will be made entirely public and will be going directly to labs working on CMT and gene therapy. All other operational expenses incurred by Versus CMT will be funded through podcast revenue, future sponsorships, and, yes, often directly out of Nate’s own pocket.

Ready to give? Just press Donate.

Talking

One of the most powerful ways to help is also completely free: spreading the word.

Whether you share a podcast episode, repost a clip, send someone a link to the website, or simply talk about the mission with friends and family, you are helping bring more attention to CMT and inherited neuropathies. You never know who may hear about the mission — or what they may ultimately contribute because of it.
